Mayor Paige Brown addresses the Middle School

Middle School students enjoyed Middle School Career Day just before Spring Break. Our keynote speaker was Mayor Paige Brown of Gallatin, TN. Mayor Brown absolutely captivated our students while sharing her vision, passion, and dedication for and to the City of Gallatin!

Students also heard from the following speakers:

Patty Edwards, Senior Investment Strategist from Wells Fargo Private Bank in Nashville, TN. Patty spoke not only with passion for her field, but also encouraged our girls to consider pursuing the field of financial investments, where women are currently underpresented. She hopes she planted a few seeds and sparked some interest.

Many thanks to photographer Risha Chesterfield for sharing an insight into the field of photography with our students. We are so thankful that you gave us insight into your creative process! We wouldn't be surprised if several students went straight home and picked up a camera.

Many thanks to Debrah Frizzell for helping students understand just why attorneys are an important part of the legal system and for sharing ways they can get involved with acitivies like Mock Trial and Teen Court right here in Sumner County.

SA Parent Rebekah Near shared her experiences as a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist. Students were greatly moved by her experiences in helping children and families who are dealing with grief.
Randy Peterson at Ovation Music & Studios Gallatin Tn absolutely wowed students with his musical ability and shared how those who are passionate can enjoy a career in music.
Mr. Jeff Stine from Acopia Home Loans shared his passion for helping clients achieve the
American Dream of home ownership with Sumner Academy students. We love that you shared both the business side of your job and the interpersonal aspects as well!
