At Sumner Academy we believe that physical, social, and character development are gained through the experience of team sports. We believe participation in athletics provides our students with important lessons for life. Our program emphasizes healthy competition, skill development, teamwork, and fun. We offer both boys and girls team sports including soccer, basketball, cross country, golf, tennis and volleyball. Our JV and varsity teams play against other independent schools, usually within a 45 minute drive from our Gallatin location.
